Javier Sunderland Guerrero (b. Mexico City, Mexico, 1965)

Javier Sunderland is a corporate and finance attorney, who assists public and private companies, broker-dealers, banks and other financial institutions. He actively participates in corporate matters related to companies’ incorporations, operation, public and private offerings, mergers and acquisitions, spin-off and liquidation. He advises his clients in the draft and negotiation of all kind of agreements, and formulates corporate strategies for real estate acquisitions in Mexico and abroad. He has over 25 years’ experience in companies and firms, and he is the Secretary of the Board of Directors of private companies and financial institutions.

For four years he acted as Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Mexican Broker-Dealers Association, of which he is now an honorary member. He coordinated the Stock Market Legal Committee of the Mexican Finance Law Association.

Since he achieved his Law Degree, he studied a Master in Mexican Finance Law and he is currently writing his juris doctor thesis. For ten years he taught Securities Law at his alma matter. He has also given several courses and conferences at the Mexican Senate and the Supreme Court.

Victoria González Descloux (b. Basel, Switzerland, 1986)

Victoria González has practiced law in firms with a primary focus in Corporate and Contract Law. She successfully assists national and foreign clients in defining strategies for the incorporation and operation of Mexican companies, particularly regarding its corporate structures and contracts negotiations. Due to her vision of business, she constantly suggests innovative solutions, more or less complex according to the clientele needs. She counsels international companies on complying with Mexican regulations related to telecommunications, e-commerce and internet, food and beverages, financial institutions, automobile and agricultural products, among others. She has vast experience in the draft and negotiation of national and international agreements. Furthermore, given the worldwide profile of her clients, her knowledge of Migratory Law is extensive.

Admitted to practice law by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), ranked amongst top 3 universities in Mexico, she has attended several courses in Mercantile and Securities Law and studied English in Cambridge, U.K. She is fluent in English, including legal writing, and French, her native language.
